Why is paint peeling around my bedroom window?

It's the only room that does it. I can only think its to do with condensation. The windows are opened to get rid of condensation and clears up quickly. I cannot understand why the paint is peeling. Why is paint peeling around my bedroom window?
It may be because latex based paint was used over an oil based paint with out the proper primer. OR it wasn't prepped cleaned and primed properly before painting. remedy: a quick fix is go to sherwin willams purchase sealcrete. apply with foam roller over peeling paint,it will help. proper way to fix would be to remove peeling paint,w/ sand paper or pt remover, sand, apply liquid sand paper, prime(kilz primer) ,top coat with you choice of paint. Why is paint peeling around my bedroom window?
there is no seal and/or primer on the window framing!!!
moisture is the culprit..it does not take noticeable water or condensation to cause damage.... try weather stripping the window and then scrape all peeling paint off and use a good primer and repaint...the clerks at a paint store can recommend a good one for your needs.
well, if it's not the condensation, then maybe at one time someone put something aroud that window to protect it from the weather, mybe you should strip off the part that is peeling and start from scratch.
You are correct. Moisture is coming in from the window, or being created when the cold air seeping in from the window hits the warm air in the house.
Did anyone think to check to see if there's a leak in the roof? or the siding? or maybe even the window itself?
