While painting with a semi-gloss paint, how do you remove the blue tape without the paint peeling off with it?

Make sure its completely dry, I would actually leave the tape up for a couple days. just to make sure... take it off and if any of the paint comes off... just take an eyeshadow brush or something along those lines and touch up... I say eyeshadow brush just because you can be more precise... hope this helps! :)While painting with a semi-gloss paint, how do you remove the blue tape without the paint peeling off with it?
remove it as soon as you are done painting.... pull at a 45 to 90 degree angle... it should pull off with no problem....While painting with a semi-gloss paint, how do you remove the blue tape without the paint peeling off with it?
If the paint continues to peel off even when dry, just run a razor blade along the tape line. That should get you a clean line with no peeling.
hi emily

what is it that you are painting? try it free hand first. if you are only applying 1 coat of paint and you need to use tape then remove it as soon as you are done. tape can dry out very quickly and if that happens then you will have a real problem. oh and thanks for saying blue tape and not painters tape. a professional painter should never have to use tape
