Paint did not stick to laminate furniture. Can I put polyurethane or shellac over the paint to stop peeling?

sorry the answer is no,its still going to peel because laminate is really plastic, and plastic is an oil base product, and paint will not stick to oil,i wish i could have said yes, unless there is a new product on the market today, good luck.Paint did not stick to laminate furniture. Only if you want a bigger mess. Clean the paint off, sand well and

then get a good primer from the paint store. Tell the people who work there what you are trying to do, and follow their advice.Paint did not stick to laminate furniture. Can I put polyurethane or shellac over the paint to stop peeling?
Nope, if the paint won't stick, then nothing you put on the paint is going to make stay there. The top coat will just peel off with the paint.
