How can I make metallic spray paint stick to nylon cloth w/o peeling? Anyone have any clues?

I'm trying to make a shiny, silver, flexible material. Maybe with the right base coat? A top coat ruins the shininess of the paint so that can't be done. If material has to be coated to make it non-porous that's OK. The paint has to stick well to the base coat because metallic spray paint is naturally flaky and brittle. Perhaps using a spray adhesive as the base coat? How can I make metallic spray paint stick to nylon cloth w/o peeling? Anyone have any clues?
Having been around paint and painting a long time, I don't know of any way that you can do what you are trying to do. Metallic paint is just to brittle. No base or top coat is going to change that.

Only thing that comes to mind that might work is at the cloth store. I've seen both gold and silver ';Lame';. They are very shiny . You may have seen some shirts made of it. Ask at the local cloth store.

Hope this helps! How can I make metallic spray paint stick to nylon cloth w/o peeling? Anyone have any clues?
I would try a base spray of rubber cement, letting it dry and then the metallic. You may want to apply multiple light layers of metallic paint so you do not dissolve the base.

Key to keeping the metallic in place is preventing the painted areas from creasing to tightly and from bending and unbending too frequently.
(They do make silver vinyl fabric.)
