Safe to grow herbs along side old shed built with pressured treated wood and peeling paint? No toxins in soil?

Peeling paint might be lead-based... that's an issue for root veggies like beets or carrots, but not for leafy greens.

PT wood is also probably fine for herbs -- the older material was arsenic based (be careful if you decide to pull down the shed -- DO NOT BURN the wood!), but arsenic doesn't migrate far in soil. Still, moving out a foot or so from the shed wall can't hurt.

dig out the old soil down to two feet and put new soil in....................then sort the shed out....should be ok thenSafe to grow herbs along side old shed built with pressured treated wood and peeling paint? No toxins in soil?
If you can stay away from shed a couple of feet I think you will be all wright.
