Paint peeling off wall that had wallpaper removed, sanded, and primed. Why is this happening?

how many coats did you use, sounds like thin paint to me :SPaint peeling off wall that had wallpaper removed, sanded, and primed. Why is this happening?
You have received good suggestions so far. The most likely reason is bits of the wall paper did not come off. If the stretcher (thin membrane on the back of wall paper) is not completely removed, it will let go when it absorbs the moisture from the paint, and then the paint will peel.

Another common reason is the under laying paint coat is oil based and latex (water based paint) is used over it. They have different contraction and expansion rates, which causes it to crack and peel. Also, water and oil do not bond well. The same happens when oil is put over latex. You must stick with the same type of paint already on the wall.Paint peeling off wall that had wallpaper removed, sanded, and primed. Why is this happening?
Because you did not get off all the glue. And the water base paint reactivated the glue. That is way the paint wont stick. That is way I use oil base primer. It is hard to see if you got all the glue off.
After the wallpaper was removed, you had to wash the walls well with vinegar and water. The odds are there is still wallpaper paste on the walls. Primer and paint will not adhere.
If it was an old kitchen, there will still be a residue of grease on the walls. You will need to use suger soap to clean the walls and then apply a fixative like uni-bond to seal the walls first.
Dirty or Oily. .. Such as a kitchen . .
Ghosts. Angry, petty ghosts.
try getting a better grade of paint.
Is it latex?

If so, its too dry. Its contacting and cracking. You need more coats.
