An epoxy paint is the best. This is what they use in restaurant kitchen and bathrooms. The only problem is it has strong fumes and odor until it dries.
they sell textured paints and such
Use Teflon paint It washes well and is resitant to mildue made for bathrooms %26amp; Kitchens,
Latex paint- that is if there's not oil paint on the wall. Oil paint makes latex peel :(
you can ask any paint pro at a local paint supply store. But make sure that you make the repairs as needed. wall primer is also a huge key to how well a paint will stick and stay, Kilz is a good pimer to use for the base coat.
