What causes peeling paint in home?

My husband and I bought our first house almost a year ago. Since then all the paint in our house has started to peel off the walls. I've went ahead and peeled it off in certain rooms and repainted applying a good primer first. I've noticed that it's starting to peel again. What is the cause of this and what can I do to prevent it. (btw: It is not wallpaper)What causes peeling paint in home?
could be a moisture problem, or you could be using oil based paint over water based or vice versa. What causes peeling paint in home?
Rules of painting! Always clean dirty walls with tsp and rinse. You must sand first.(scuff the walls with 150 grit) Pole sander works best. This is for better adhesion. Oil paint over latex no problems. Latex over oil, is a different story. Need a good primer. Fresh Start. Fr. benajmin moore works well, it`s made for this purpose. There`s others just as good ask your paint store.---Peeling paint is usually caused by moisture or poor adhesion to previous surface. If walls are plastered, and outdoor temp. is very cold!!! this may cause walls to sweat When this happens paint will not adhear!
ether it's moisture or the walls are plaster and the plaster has to much lime in it. The lime leaches and takes the paint with it.

If it is plaster walls. Talk to a good painting supply store and tell them the problem. They will give you the right primer to use.
