I have a dryer rack that the paint or vinyl covering is peeling.?

Is there any way to refinish this with something that won't come off on my clothes as they dry?I have a dryer rack that the paint or vinyl covering is peeling.?
There is a product out that is used for recovering the vinyl on dishwasher racks. GE, Maytag and Whirlpool all have the product. You should be able to pick it up at your local appliance parts store. As the dishwasher is subject to both moisture and heat, this product should work quite well for your purpose.I have a dryer rack that the paint or vinyl covering is peeling.?
If it was mine, I'd spray it using Krylon. It's made with plastic, and should do well around moisture.
if the rack is a metal type with a plastic coating then it has rusted underneath where the plastic has cracked and become brittle and normally these are mass produced so I would suggest replacement as it is extremely hard to remove rust and plastic coating and would cost more that its worth.

Wood is a totally different story however I don't know of any vinyl covered wood types available on the market.
if you prime it then paint it and let dry overnight the paint will not come off and get all over your clothes you can even buy the paint in the spray can and do it that way but you have to prime it first so the paint will stick to it.this way you can paint it any color you want.
i think you would have to take it back to the wood---in other words--strip it all off then put lacquer on it. i really think you should call a paint store for advice. they can help you better than i can.
